Lloyd Burrell is a singer songwriter who has led worship in his local church for over a decade. Lives in Islington and is married to Denise. When he is not busy humming a tune, he loves to relax by going cinema and loves to travel. He is a graphic designer by trade and built this website.
Lloyd is a Christian believer who is passionate about the Gospel Message of Jesus Christ and was inspired to write this song based on Jesus’s last moments on the Cross: His death, resurrection and Jesus’s famous seven last words. His hope is that it will encourage and inspire many as they listen to this gospel song.

THE SAVIOUR OF THE WORLD
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son innto the to condemn the world, but the world through Him might be saved.

His Seven Last Words on the Cross
1. Father, forgive them, for they know not what they are doing. Luke 23:34
Forgiveness – Jesus forgives the Roman soldiers who crucified him and those involved in his death.

Salvation – Jesus was crucified between two thieves, traditionally named as Dismas and Gestas, one supports Jesus’ innocence and asks him to remember him when he comes into his kingdom.

Relationship – Jesus entrusts Mary, his mother, into the care of “the disciple whom he loved.”

Abandonment – As death approaches Jesus experiences utter dereliction from God and his closest disciples.

Distress – Jesus is given a drink of sour wine symbolising the need for the Scriptures to be fulfilled. John sees Jesus, the anointed Messiah, as perfecting the example of the first anointed King, David, who was also persecuted by his enemies for his service to God

Triumph – Jesus’ earthly life is over, and his death opens even the darkest of places to the reconciling love of God.

Reunion – Jesus begins to join his Father in heaven as he journeys from death to resurrection. In the Bible, seven is the number of perfection, and the seven last words can be seen as the completion of the seven days of the circle of Creation.
